Initial max cut depth of 2.5". It will be less on subsequent cuts due to how the concrete breaks off in groove.
You should let the saw do the cutting, and not push on the unit.
Your initial cuts should be for the outside grooves followed by the bottom cut, finishing with the top.
If using an extension cord, it should be a maximum length of 50', and 10 gauge.
Water should be enough to cool the bearing, and keep dust down. If a slurry starts to form, you are using too much water.
After your groove is cut, you should twist the crowbar to break concrete.
The electric saw can flush cut by adjusting the guide. The gas saw will not flush cut.
The blades for both the electric (soft blade) and gas (hard blade) units are rated to cut through rebar and wire.
